High-Protein Homemade Ice Cream 🍨πŸ’ͺ

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup heavy whipping cream

  • ¼ cup whole milk (I like using a high-protein whole milk for an extra protein boost!)

  • 1 scoop protein powder (unflavored works great, but vanilla is delicious too)

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract (use clear vanilla if you want bright white ice cream)

  • 2 tablespoons sugar (or substitute with honey or your favorite zero-calorie sweetener)

Optional Mix-Ins

  • Crushed cookies

  • Brownie bites

  • Chopped Reese’s cups

  • Chocolate chips

  • Sprinkles

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing glass or bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, milk, protein powder, vanilla extract, and sweetener until smooth.

  2. Pour the mixture into your pre-frozen KitchenAid Ice Cream Maker attachment.

  3. Churn on the lowest speed for 15–20 minutes, or until the ice cream becomes thick, creamy, and fluffy.

  4. Fold in your favorite mix-ins during the last minute of churning until evenly distributed.

  5. Enjoy immediately for a soft-serve texture, or freeze for 1–2 hours if you prefer a firmer scoop.

Tip: The nutrition will vary depending on the protein powder, milk, sweetener, and mix-ins you choose, so feel free to customize it to fit your goals!
