Bakery Style Choc Chip Cookies for 2
Classic Cookie Dough (Serves 2)
Ingredients
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 tablespoon beaten egg (whisk an egg first, then measure)
¼ teaspoon vanilla bean paste (or vanilla extract)
⅓ cup + 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
Pinch of baking soda (about 1/32 teaspoon)
Pinch of baking powder (about 1/16 teaspoon)
⅛ teaspoon cornstarch
Tiny pinch of salt
¼ cup mini chocolate chips (I used a mixture of semi sweet and milk chocolate)
Instructions
Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and creamy.
Mix in the beaten egg and vanilla until fully combined.
Stir together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cornstarch, and salt. Add to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
If you’re baking them, scoop into 2 large cookies and bake at 350°F for 12-14 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden and the centers still look slightly underbaked. Let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before enjoying. 🍪
**if you want your cookies slightly thinner, subtract the extra tablespoon of flour
